animal testing

I chose animal testing because I've always loved animals. I wanted to do something I loved. I thought that they wouldn't take it seriously. I was very wrong, they seemed like they really cared. So this is me telling you what they fell.

The majority wanted to ban animal testing. Some thought we should still test on mice but they all said they wanted to at least limit animal testing. Most know what happens to the animals.

The majority thought that we should protest. Four people thought we should not buy products. Two people thought we should write a letter. I think they are all good but I think we should do all of them. We could write a letter to the president. We should also stop buying products or at least limit how mant we buy if we have to buy them. If you can live with out it or buy one that's not tested on animals we should d0 it. If all that doesn't work then will protest. So all I am asking is if you could just take a little bit of your time to just look at that lable and who knows you could save the lives of many animals. If you could that you would make things a lot better.

Junction Science Trip

My favorite part of Junction would probably be the aquatic biology. First in aquatic biology we talked about what it means. Then we went to the lake and took the temperature of the water and air. We also took the PH which mean potential hydrogen (of the water). Then we went to lunch and break. When we came back we caught macroinvertabrates, which means no back bone (I call them bugs). The teacher then let us swim in the lake. After swimming we brought our macro's to the lab and looked at them under the microscope.

I learned a lot of new things, but the one thing that really stood out were the shoes. I never would have guessed the strings on our shoes were a simple machine. Think by not putting on our shoes or socks in the morning people would have smelly feet. So let me put it this way if we did not have this simple machine we would not have shoes or socks, and people would have really smelly feet at the end of the day. I think this is a very important simple machine, don't you?

pioneer species

I picked the plant Lords of Ladies. They grow as individual flowers. They are about medium height, loamy and heavy. The require moist soil to grow. They can grow in light or dark. The flowers grow faster in the cold, about 15 degrees Celsius. They also grow better if not disturbed. They are pollinated by flies. It is said they are hard on your skin and have been known to produce sores and blisters on laundresses hands (who use it). You can eat the leaves and roots of the flower. The roots can also be used for innocent cosmetics that can be used to remove freckles. I picked this flower because I thought it was pretty and I liked its name.
